Miracles large and small

We have visited the Mothers Without Borders orphanage a few times lately. First, with Elder and Sister Watson, and President and Sister Dube who were here for our Area Authority Mission Tour. Next, with Elder and Sister Von Stettan from the Area Offices who were in Zambia initiating the Perpetual Education Fund. Every time we visit the orphanage, there are new, amazing improvements to the facilities. This NGO has a broad vision and a very hard-working crew. The children are well-loved, and happy. Some of these children have become the little loves of our lives, especially teeny Alice who is shown in Sister Von Stettan's arms. She has the world's worth of love in her little soul. She is HIV+, and I cannot help but wonder if she is on the earth just to teach us--those who are graced by her light--how to love unconditionally, in all circumstances.

The computers have come to Zambia!!! It is earth-shattering! Given, the IT specialist from the Area Offices, flew in for what he thought would be two day's training, but which ended up to be five days. It is always a longer haul for everything in Zambia! The phone/internet connections are so far behind the times that it takes laborious miracles to have them installed and working properly. (We are still working on the problem connections in a few of the churches.) And not many members are computer literate, so Given's tutoring skills were really stretched! The excitement is running high. The branch clerks are in their offices many hours a week, practicing and learning the programs. Soon, the records of the church in Zambia will be kept in the Lord's way and the "work" will go forth with the intended blessings of modern-day technology in these latter-days.
